(Dolton, IL)– Tiffany Henyard-Current Village Trustee of Dolton and Candidate for Mayor- is now the victim of dirty campaign tactics as her campaign office and vehicle was severely damaged over the past 48 hours. In addition, Trustee Henyard has now been attacked by a smear campaign being mailed to residents.

Cook County and locally elected officials will stand and speak out against these recent attacks against Henyard.

On Thursday Trustee Henyard returned to her office only to discover that the glass had been shattered to her front office door. Then hours later she walked outside to her car and noticed that her tires had been slashed.

“It’s obvious that someone doesn’t want me involved in this current election cycle. While Dolton has been a mainstay for dirty campaign tactics and trickery, I refuse to be fearful and intimidated.” says Henyard.

Henyard has filed a police report with the Dolton police but is less than confident that the police will offer any real effort to find the offender of these crimes.

Trustee Henyard adds, “The mismanagement of the Dolton Police Department has become the laughingstock of Cook County. My legal team is now considering filing reports with the Cook County Sheriff and the Illinois State Police. I have been victimized by this current administration numerous times. However, this incident will not be taken likely by my team. We will follow this process through until we get answers to who committed these cowardly acts.”

Tiffany Henyard is a two term Village of Dolton Trustee who is currently within her first historic run for Mayor of Dolton. She has earned more votes than another Trustee during her two election victories and is widely considered the front runner for Mayor during this current election cycle. Henyard has become the most vocal critic of the current Mayor citing fiscal mismanagement, corruption and overall failed leadership.

“We have to rid ourselves of the historical stain of political corruption that is associated with Dolton. Residents approach me daily warning me of my safety and the ugly politics that have dogged Dolton for years. I’m running on Honesty and Integrity, something that is clearly foreign to this current administration” says Trustee Henyard.
