Yumeka Brown (left), garnered over 600,000 votes in her race for Chicago’s Water Rec- lamation District. Astounding numbers indeed. Monica Gordon (right) easily defeated her challenger in the race for Cook County Commissioner to replace retiring member Deborah Sims.
